Kalpataru is an open-access and peer-reviewed scientific journal managed by the National Research Centre for Archaeology, Ministry of Education and Culture. It is published biannually, covering in-depth studies of topics of particular interest in archaeology and history. Peer-reviewing process in Kalpataru engages editors from various expertise in archaeology, applied-sciences, and humanistic studies. It features original research papers based on a broad spectrum of scientific approaches in archaeology and history such as chemistry, biology, geology, anthropology etc. Kalpataru aims to provide an integrated discussion of an actual subject in archaeology and history for researchers, scholars, policymakers, students, artists, and other enthusiasts. It has been awarded Certificate of Accreditation No. 30/E/KPT/2019 as Sinta (Science and Technology Index) 2 Grade Journal from Director General of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education.

We are pleased to invite researchers or academics to publish the articles in the upcoming issue of the KALPATARU Journal of Prehistory (Volume 31, No. 1, 2022).

The paper must be original and had not been previously accepted in any journal or under consideration for publication.

Starting in the 2022 edition, Kalpataru is shifting its journal's focus into a prehistoric archaeology theme with the scope of materials such as cultures, humans, and environments during the prehistory and proto-history period in Indonesia's archipelago, Asia-Pacific, and globally as well. The perspective from cross-disciplines other than archaeology are welcome, both hard sciences and soft sciences.

The journal is pleased to invite researchers and academics to share their publications on archaeology and other related sciences.
