As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been previously published, nor sent and being considered by other publisher.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, MS Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Citation and Bibliography is generated by reference management application (e.g. Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote)
  • The manuscript adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements defined in the Author Guidelines

General Rules

  1. Authors can submit the article through online registration individually by clicking on the “register” menu option. For further information, please contact redaksi_arkenas@yahoo.com.
  2. After being registered, authors can send the articles by clicking “online submission” on the menu option.
  3. Authors are expected for confirmation regarding the progress of the submitted articles for 3 weeks maximum after being received by the board of editors.
  4. Authors aren’t allowed to send same articles to other publishers before receiving confirmation from the board of directors.
  5. Authors must follow all rules and guidelines stated by the board of directors.


Writing Guidelines

  1. The article should be written in Indonesian or English.
  2. The submitted article must follow template and guidelines of Kalpataru journal.
  3. Title of articles: Title should represent the content of the article, written in capital letters, bold size, justified texts, using font Times New Roman 12 pt.
  4. Name and affiliation: Name of the authors are written consecutively: 1st author, co-author 1, 2, 3, and so on. Affiliation must be complete, including address, city, and country.
  5. Abstract: Abstract should be written within the length of 200-300 words, using font Times New Roman size 10 pt, space 1,5. Abstracts must be written in Indonesian and English with 3 – 5 keywords. It contains scientific background, method(s), main objectives, and brief explanation of result and conclusions of the article.
  6. Introductory: This part should be brief and clear to help readers to understand the background, issue, novelty, and goal of the research
  7. Methods: Methods describes the techniques used in doing the research
  8. Result and Analysis: This part contains narration about the main focus of the research. To avoid a prolonged description, authors can add drawings, tables, and graphics to ease readers understand the content of the articles. Illustrations and photos with best quality (minimum 800x600 pixels) will be attached inside
  9. Conclusion: This part concludes the explanation given from data analysis along with suggestions and recommendations (optional)
  10. Bibliography: Bibliography using APA 6th format. It is recommended that the author use Mendeley®. Minimum reference 10 publications (80% primary and 20% secondary sources). Primary sources are from scientific journals, research reports, mini-thesis, thesis, dissertation, proceedings. Secondary sources are books and internet websites.
